ROADSIDE MANAGER POSITION(S)

Benton County is currently accepting applications for a full-time Roadside Manager position. Duties include developing and managing an Iowa Roadside Management program in accordance with Iowa Code Chapter 314, assuming the duties of Weed Commissioner pursuant to Iowa Code Chapter 317, and providing supervision, training, and coordination to staff and other County Departments in these areas. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and demonstrate computer proficiency. Candidates with prior education and experience in Ecology and related fields are preferred. Salary commensurate with experience.
This department is also looking for part-time (Seasonal) and possible full-time employee. Duties will be to aid IRM staff in controlling noxious weeds in Benton County right-of way, management and removal of roadside trees and brush and other duties as assigned. Must acquire Pesticide Applicators License in Categories 1A (Agriculture) and 6 (Right-of-Way).
