The Community Health Free Clinic provides an invaluable service to Cedar Rapids and the surrounding areas. This clinic functions with the help of many volunteers and some paid staff. These caring

individuals range from secretarial personnel to nurses, social workers and dental staff. The main focus of

those serving this clinic is to provide care and compassion to those in need. The majority of patients

served are uninsured individuals but also a considerable population of underinsured, including those

finding it difficult to afford their healthcare plan. Patients come from a variety of backgrounds and

circumstances, most very grateful for the unique, loving and caring services provided. There is a

significant need for healthcare providers at this clinic to educate, provide routine screenings and

assessments and manage chronic health conditions. This clinic also serves as a dispensary of

pharmaceuticals, allowing patients to leave with a large variety of medications including insulin. The

Community Health Free Clinic has an amazing collection of resources to provide exceptional care to a

unique population of patients and we want you to join our team!

New grads welcome, this is an excellent way to gain knowledge in a supportive setting.

This is a part-time opportunity; Monday-Friday mornings, approximately 18-20 hours per week with

considerable time off for major holidays.
