The University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine is seeking a Curriculum Associate to provide support to the curriculum directors and course/clerkship directors in the Carver College of Medicine, including support for all curriculum components organized and directed by them; to assist with coordination of the Intro to Medical Education at Iowa Program (IMEI), processes for recruiting small group facilitators for the preclinical curriculum, assist with scheduling of students' Early Clinical Experiences, Interprofessional Education days, and the Ambulatory Practice Module (APM) education days and other
APM-related functions, the Clinical Experiences Committee (CEC), the Teaching Distinction Track (TDT), the Health Care Delivery Science and Management Distinction Track (HDSM), and support for the Curriculum Strand directors; support curriculum director with coordinating schedules, technical support and computing labs for computer based testing, maintain the database for students' required clinical experiences, curriculum unit budget reports, and provide support services for students in their clinical rotations including pagers and lockers; to compose correspondence and compile reports; prepare instructional materials; coordinate activities and obtain and disseminate information to students and faculty which require knowledge of assigned and related areas; Support faculty directors and curriculum staff with everyday operation of the student learning community.
Required: A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent education and experience is required. Three to five years administrative support experience at a university. Demonstrated evidence of a commitment to diversity in the educational community. The successful candidate should enjoy working with students and as a member of a team. Must be proficient in computer software packages, databases, spreadsheet programs, and online systems. Must be able to maintain confidentiality in handling of unit tasks. Desired qualifications: Previous curriculum support experience at a university level. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Knowledge of institutional, UIHC, and CCOM, policies, procedures, processes and forms.
